The same thing happened to me. Video with sound for one second. When I switch to audio only, the sound works great. What gives?

I've checked all my connections and nothing appears out of place. The Slingbox has worked in the past but I got a new digital cable box. Could that be the problem? Any suggestions?

When I go through the set-up the choices for the device I am connecting my slingbox to does not include "TV". What box do I highlight since TV is not listed?

Help,
Just bought a new reciever Sky + but I still show the old remote on the internet, what should I do to get access to the new reciever and remote.

When I connect my laptop to a tv I get all the frames and remote OK but the picture doesn't come through. Any suggestions. I have the slingbox set up in Canada and I am viewing in Qatar.

can uk sky tv be hooked up to slingbox and if i was away from home could i watch my sky tv through my laptop and turn the sky channels over useing slingbox???

Check out myhava.com Similar price as slingbox, says it works with digital picture which slingbox is telling me theirs will not, and it is wireless. Also every individual computer in your house can use it at the same time and it doesn't matter what someone is watching on the tv itself. Check it out.

I am reconnecting my slingbox after switching cable companies. I am using a different router and cable box then before but the same computer. After I reconnect everything the finder id cannot find the slingbox. If I look at the network indicator light on the slingbox it is not connecting. I can hook up a laptop to the same network line and it works. What is going on? I am using ATT Uverse, I don't know if this helps.

I have the same problem. I called slingbox and they said it is for analog tv only and will not work with digital picture like uverse. I think this is wrong though beause my old tv put out a digital signal too. I think it just needs digital cables (not coaxil cables) to hook it up and I think we have to figure out exactly how to do it since the connections are different on the uverse boxes. Right now though slingbox says it wont work at all with digital and won't work for anyone after Feb. of 09. I think the guy was to lazy to look up the correct info.

I can watch my cable on my laptop while in my house or near my wireless router but cannot access it remotely. I've tried to run the wizard and it comes up with an error message about remote access but doesn't really give any clues on how to fix the problem.
Suggestions?

If the wizard won't work, try setting up manual port forwarding for your Slingbox's ip address. You should be forwarding port 5001 to whatever ip address your Slingbox grabs. Then just setup your SlingPlayer to access your network's public ip address using port 5001 and the traffic should be routed to your Slingbox.
